Our journey began in Northern Italy, where founders Edward J. Bentley, Jerome Walter Gueguen, and David Phillips launched their first feature on a shoestring budget and a daring vision. Surviving almost entirely on Bigoli—a local pasta that became both fuel and metaphor—they built a film with passion, resourcefulness, and community support.
That film, String Theory, evolved into Bigoli Bang—a dystopian sci-fi story about time-traveling migrants disrupting the balance of our modern world. With a dedicated crew of 20, the three founders led a production that became a testament to what’s possible with creativity, hard work, and local generosity.
Now based in Barcelona, Bigoli Pictures continues to craft stories that challenge norms, provoke thought, and resonate on a deeply human level. The spirit of Bigoli—simple, unpretentious, and essential—guides everything we do.
We’re more than just a film company—we’re a growing community of filmmakers, actors, and dreamers pushing the boundaries of cinema. Every frame is a labor of love, and every project is a shared adventure.
